Some of my Christian friends wonder why I don’t drink wine anymore, especially as I used too. I find it hard to explain, without sounding all super spiritual. It’s not because I think it’s evil and God would be displeased with me if I did, but I have found something far better that increases my intimacy with the Lord. It also energises me and doesn't make me feel sleepy like wine used too, and I don’t have to worry about driving a car afterwards either.
Finding True Riches
Once while walking on a field I spotted a small plastic bank bag ahead of me on the ground that appeared to be full of money. I dived upon it thinking God had answered my prayer, as I was a bit broke at the time. On examination I found that it was only filled with sheets from a Gideon’s Bible. I threw it away in disgust, to immediately come under great conviction from the Holy Spirit. I felt God say that I needed these words more than money. Read on to find out more.
The Entrance of your Word 2
PART TWO I have found over the years that we are confronted by constant situations where we have to make a choice between ‘fact’ and ’truth,’ and need to decide which of these is more true? The carnal mind always gravitates toward fact. ”Well this is what I see and how I feel.” The Spirit always gravitates towards biblical truth. “But this is what the bible says.” The fact was that my mind was shot and I had the evidence to prove it, but the truth of the word said. “I have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16 “The memory of the righteous is blessed.” Proverbs 10:7
WANTED: Available Asses
The Spirit of God came upon Samson and then God used him with this asses jawbone to accomplish an impossible feat. With this jawbone he slew 1000 Philistines. God loves to use insignificant and weak things to confound the wise in this world. He loves to use ‘asses’ like you and I to achieve His purposes. An ass is a cross between a donkey and a horse and many of us at times may feel like we fall into this category. At times we may even think we look like one, but be encouraged for God loves using ‘asses,’ all He wants is for us to be available.
You've Already got it: By Andrew Wommack
Watching a dog run in circles chasing its own tail can be pretty amusing. Round and round the puppy will go, trying to catch something that it already has. Unfortunately, this is also a picture of the average Christian: chasing after something they already have. You might be thinking, “What do l already have”? You have everything. God has already given us everything we need. Whatever you are currently asking God to give you, has already been provided. You don’t need to get God to heal, save, deliver, or prosper you, or to give you joy and peace. All of those things have already been supplied.
