After coming back from ministering in Zimbabwe I’ve really felt myself operating from a new level in the Spirit. I believe it’s all to do with the renewing of my mind and a greater understanding of spiritual principles. I realise that I am believing for things that I never thought possible before. If its true that we can draw from those heavenly realities that we are aware of, then I’m now downloading so much more, because I am more aware of my identification with the glorified Christ than ever before. As we keep beholding Him by faith the image grows in our hearts and we draw from this heavenly reality.
I was preaching from my message on the 7th time, and the word ‘arise’ and ‘thanks’ took on greater meaning.
“At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.” Psalm 119:62
‘Rise’ is the word QUM in Hebrew. It means to arise, come onto the scene. It can mean arising in a hostile sense against the enemy. It also means to rouse oneself, to wake up.
The giving of thanks in this verse is the word YADAH, which means to shoot out arrows. To cast, throw down, and to confess. It also means to physically throw a stone or an arrow and of course, it’s to revere God in worship. As I put all these elements together, it would mean to get up in the night or anytime for that matter and rouse yourself, coming onto the scene with hands outstretched, sending forth our weapons of war. It’s important to realise that arrows are lightning in scripture. We may not see anything as we do this in faith but the bible says that blessed are those who have not seen yet believe. The glorified Christ has this power emanating from Him, and as He is, so are we in this life. 1 John 4:17
“By living in God, love has been brought to its full expression in us so that we may fearlessly face the day of judgment, because all that Jesus now is, so are we in this world.”
“He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them.” Psalm 18:14
“Send forth lightning and scatter the enemy; shoot your arrows and rout them.” Psalm 144:6
“Moses stretched out his staff toward the sky, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning (fireballs) ran down to the earth and along the ground.” Exodus 19:23
It reminds me of many Super Hero’s in comics who have Supernatural Powers that comes from their hands. Remember that we are now the Sons and Daughters of God. We are like Him in the Spirit, for as He is NOW so are we in this life. You may not see this actually happening but the word says “Blessed are those who have not seen, yet believe.” John 20:23.
The more we believe it and see it in the Spirit the more we draw from this reality. If we can’t see it with our renewed minds then we don’t progress in this revelation, for its only the land that we see that is given to us. Genesis 13:14-17
The word ‘Arise’ is often used in scripture relating to God and His Children coming onto the scene. Psalm 68:1-2 comes to mind where the word QUM is again used. Look also at Isaiah 60:1-3
“Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him. As smoke is driven away, So drive them away; As wax melts before the fire,”
“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3
With the revelation that we are now seated in Heavenly places with Christ, my perspective is different. I’m not living down here crying out for God to come and fix things anymore, for I’m now living from heaven to earth, days of heaven on earth. I am now in Christ reigning with Him from His throne.
Ephesians 2:6. Revelation 3:21. Colossians 3:1-5.
We are transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can prove what the will of the Lord is. Romans 12:1-2. He tells us also to pray that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
The whole idea of lightning has really caught my attention. It says that lightning flashes from His throne. It also speaks of His clothing being like lightning and light flashing from His hands.
“God came from Teman, The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise. His brightness was like the light; He had rays flashing from His hand, And there His power was hidden.” Habakkuk 3:3-5
“And pulsing from the throne were blinding flashes of lightning, crashes of thunder, and voices.” Revelation 4:5 TPT
Lightning is often referred to the ‘revelation word of God breaking forth on the earth, dismantling the works of Satan. As God’s word goes forth, there will always be voices to carry the fresh revelation of heaven. We are the voices that God uses.
“When his lightning strikes, it lights up the world. People are wide-eyed as they tremble and shake.” Psalm 97:4. It’s the revelation that opens people’s eyes.
Luke 10:18-20 says that as the disciples brought forth the word in ministry, Satan’s influence toppled. The Passion translation relates to seeing Satan falling whenever we minister in the Spirit and not as a past event. “While you were ministering.”
“Jesus replied, “While you were ministering, I watched Satan topple until he fell suddenly from heaven like lightning to the ground. Now you understand that I have imparted to you my authority to trample over his kingdom. You will trample upon every demon before you and overcome every power Satan possesses. Absolutely nothing will harm you as you walk in this authority. However, your real source of joy isn’t merely that these spirits submit to your authority, but that your names are written in the journals of heaven and that you belong to God’s kingdom. This is the true source of your authority.”
I felt the Lord give me this word in Isaiah 42 through Pastor Brendan in England before I left on my trip to Zimbabwe confirming what my ministry would be while there.
“I, Yahweh, have commissioned you in righteousness to succeed. I will take your hand in love and watch over you. I will give you as a covenant for the people, a walking-light to the nations. Your mission is to open blind eyes, to set prisoners free from dark dwellings, and to open prison doors to those who are held by darkness.” Isaiah 42:6-7
My mission there was to primarily open blind eyes in a spiritual sense. I felt the Lord say that I am to believe that when I minister God’s word I’m sending forth light that will open blind eyes. Arise and come onto the scene, sending forth the arrows, the lightning’s of God. I’m sending forth fresh revelation to God’s people. The Laodicean Church needs their eyes anointed with eye salve so that they might see, for they are blind and deceived, and their thinking is all wrong. Revelation 3:17-18
“You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see.”
They needed to have their minds renewed. They needed to repent, which is to change the way they think under the new covenant.
I first need to personally ‘rouse’ myself and declare the word of the Lord. I declare that the door is now opened for me to come into His presence by the blood of the Lamb. I’m now in the glory cloud surrounded by His fiery presence and the enemy will be consumed by His Holy Fire if He approaches. I am now hidden in Christ in God, in the secret place. Christ is in me and He is surrounded by Holy Fire, and so am I. As I draw from this reality more and more, I become more aware of it.
I am feeling so free since I am back after ministering God’s word. It’s like now that I’m finally understanding the authority that I have in Christ. Its something that I have failed to understand before.
“Now you understand that I have imparted to you my authority.” Luke 10:19
Paul tells us in Ephesians 1:17-18 to pray that we might have the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, so that the eyes of our understanding would be opened, enlightened. We need to understand the authority that we have in Christ. As we realise that we are in Christ in God then Satan cant have the influence that He had on us in the past. As we behold Christ’s dazzling brilliance, our influence over the Spirit world intensifies. Amen
Let’s hasten the day and spend as much time as we can beholding the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ so that we will shine more and more like the noon day sun causing the enemy to cringe before our glorious Lord. May our circle of influence grow wider and wider engulfing our home, our family and our church. May His kingdom take over our town and our nation.
As we get rid of the idols in our lives and really ‘know’ Jesus. He becomes enthroned on our hearts and we realise that we are now one with Him. We are the righteousness of God in Christ, one with Him in glory, and can come to the Father as His Sons and Daughters. We can come in Him and have His faith, and are encouraged to ask for bigger things. We are told in Psalm 2 to ask for the nations. It was the invitation given to Christ the first begotten and since we are joined to Him as His new creation it is for us as well. The enemy has got us so distracted with all our problems that our heart are overcome with the cares of this life and not able to believe for the bigger things. We can barely believe for ourselves than to ask God for the heathen to be our inheritance and the uttermost parts of the earth to be our possession.
“I myself have poured out my King on Zion, my holy mountain.” “I will reveal the eternal purpose of God. For he has decreed over me, ‘You are my favored Son. And as your Father I have crowned you as my King Eternal. Today I became your Father. Ask me to give you the nations and I will do it, and they shall become your legacy. Your domain will stretch to the ends of the earth. And you will shepherd them with unlimited authority, crushing their rebellion as an iron rod smashes jars of clay!’ ” Psalm 2:6-12
