The Beauty of Holiness

A Psalm that has always intrigued me is Psalm 110 especially verses 2-3.

“The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.”

I am convinced that there is a day of Gods Power before His 2nd Coming when the enemy will be as ashes beneath the feet of a victorious Church. This will be the “Greater Works Generation” spoken of in John 14:12. “The Elijah Ministry” spoken of in Malachi 4:5 and the “End Time Army” in Joel 2:2-11. God will cause His mighty power to be manifested through Zion (His Church). “Out of Zion”

One of the keys to the release of Day of God’s Power is a people who offer themselves willingly in ‘The beauty of Holiness.’ This phrase “the beauty of holiness” is interesting. What does it mean?

God is a holy God and the bible says that without holiness no one will be able to see Him. Hebrews 12:14. Praise God, Jesus has washed us in His blood and made us holy. Holiness is not attained through self-effort, its a gift from God. Just as He has made us accepted in Christ, so has He made us righteous and Holy in His sight, it’s a gift.

“For it is from God alone that you have your life through Christ Jesus. He showed us God’s plan of salvation; he was the one who made us acceptable to God; he made us pure and holy and gave himself to purchase our salvation.” 1 Corinthians 1:30

He has made us holy vessels for God through what Jesus did for us on the cross. We are ‘now’ Holy vessels unto God. When we became a Christian, we were cleansed and joined to Christ. We became one Spirit with Him and New Creatures, that are holy, righteous and sinless in His sight.

“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”    1 Corinthians 5:13

In the Old Testament, days there were special instruments and vessels that were exclusively used in the Temple by the Priests and Levites. They were holy vessels that were to be used exclusively for Temple use and nothing else. We are now God’s holy instruments that are to be used only for God. We are not our own. We are not for the world anymore. We are His holy people and we need to know this.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

The Devil tries to blind us to the fact that we are God’s holy and beautiful children. We are glorious on the inside and are to be His holy beautiful vessels set apart for Him in all we do and say.

If you aren’t convinced about something then its easy to be lead off the path. We need to know that we are already His Holy people set apart for the Master’s use. Fully persuaded.

Knowing that something is true empowers us. You can know about someone or you can really know someone. I may know about the King of England but I don’t know him and he doesn’t know me. Knowing that you are holy in God’s sight empowers you. The Devil tries to keep us ignorant of this truth for he knows that when we really know it  we will be set us free.

When you know that you are already accepted, righteous and holy before God, it motivates you to use your body, your life, and your words in a way that will please the Father.

When you look at those in royalty, like a Princess, you see how she holds herself, especially in public. They know who they are and have been trained from birth to walk as royalty. If they didn’t know it they would have no desire to live like that, and speak the way they do. They hold themselves beautifully for they are fully persuaded of their position.

When you look around you today at different people in life, those who have a low self-esteem do things that show their hearts. If you don’t like yourself then you treat yourself badly, but when you know that you are created by God and He loves you, that changes everything. When you know you are a new creature in Christ, a holy vessel of honour, then you don’t want to say and do things that will offend the Father.

We are already made righteous and holy in Gods sight, its just that we don’t really know it. I can see that there is a generation coming that finally gets it. A generation who see who they are in Christ and does the works of Jesus like no other generation before them. This is now the 3rd day when we go on to know Him and His response to us is the Latter Rain. Hosea 6:1-3

I have looked up other verses on the ‘beauty of holiness’ and found Psalm 96:9 and Psalm 29:2.

“Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.” Psalm 96:9

We are told to worship God in the beauty of Holiness. Holiness is a form of worship. Holiness is beautiful in the eyes of the Lord whether we realise it or not, we are instruments of worship by faith. When we offer ourselves willingly, and surrender to the Lord as holy vessels of honour, its worship. It’s not just an event like in Old Testament Days when animals were offered to God, but we are now living sacrifices that can willingly offer ourselves to God 24/7. Romans 12:1 comes to mind. We are to offer ourselves to God as living sacrifices.

“Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? To surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.” TPT

Being a holy living sacrifice becomes our genuine expression of worship and it’s beautiful in the eyes of the Lord, set apart for the Master’s use. You don’t have to wait until a Sunday service to worship Him or wait until your prayer time, for you can do or should I say be it at anytime. You are the sacrifice.

I have shared how the End time Army will cause a shaking up of spiritual things and Psalm 96:9 confirms this.

“Oh, worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before Him, all the earth.” Psalm 96:9

As we offer ourselves as holy vessels it causes a shaking in the spiritual realm. This word ‘tremble’ (‘chul chiyl’ in Hebrew) can also be rendered as ‘shakes’ or ‘writhes.’ The Devil fears a people who offer themselves willingly, it makes him tremble. Offering yourself as a living sacrifice is the key to the dawning of the Day of God’s Power. Its not so much the people but the presence of God that comes upon them as God’s responds to holiness.
