During the week, I was making up some video verses from older scriptures that I had written down ages ago to meditate on.
One of those verses was Habakkuk 1:5
“Be utterly astounded, for I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.”
This verse speaks to me of a coming revival and really excited my spirit. I thought to myself that I should make up a video for this verse sometime.
Later that day I felt I should write to a friend in London whose husband has Covid, to see how he was. It was still night time for them so I wasn’t expecting an immediate reply. I few hours later she replied and told me how things were and also said that she had a verse for me that had really jumped out at her from the scriptures and guess what it was Habakkuk 1:5.
I know that in its context it is not speaking of revival, but the coming Babylonians and for them it was not good news, but bad news. Some would argue that you can’t take a verse like this out of its setting.
I believe in the Rhema word of God and He can take any verse and make it alive to us. Paul did this in Isaiah 28:11-12 where he took a verse that was speaking of the Assyrians conquering the Jews and speaking a language that they wouldn’t understand. Paul used this same verse from Isaiah 28 in his discourse on speaking in tongues.
“For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, To whom He said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And, “This is the refreshing”;
Yet they would not hear.” Isaiah 28:11-12“In the law it is written: “With men of other tongues and other lips I will speak to this people; And yet, for all that, they will not hear Me,” says the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 14:21
I personally believe that there is going to be a great move of God before the Lord returns. Another friend spoke to me later this week and reminded me of the Welsh Revival where nearly the whole nation turned to God virtually overnight. Before the revival hit, Wales was in a bad way with so much drunkenness, violence and theft, but the Spirit of God did an outstanding thing that no one was expecting and turned everything around.
The Lord can do this again. He can work on very dry bones and make them come alive. He can even raise the dead. Let us ask Him to do it again. Let us be a people who believe God for nations. He is the answer to the sorry state of the world.
“Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession. “ Psalm 2:8
King David said in Psalm 119:126
“It is time for you to act, LORD; your law is being broken.”
The scriptures speak of the ‘Restoration of all things.’ Acts 3:21
The ‘Former and the Latter Rain.’ Joel 2:23 (The Former rain was Pentecost and the Latter Rain is even greater than that - amen.)
There is the Elijah Ministry before the 2nd Coming. Malachi 4:1-6
The Time of the latter Rain spoken of in James 5:7 . And the 3rd Day in Hosea 6:3 just to name a few verses.
Zechariah 10:1
“Ask the Lord for rain In the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, Grass in the field for everyone.”
