If you look at the rest of Paul's teachings on our life in Christ, you will see that there is something else that he is trying to get us to understand. Yes, there will be persecutions and suffering in the Christian life, but I think there’s more that we need to understand in verses like Romans 8:17. It’s understanding how we were crucified with Him on the cross and identifying with His sufferings This is the key to a victorious life. You will always feel unworthy if you don’t understand this truth.
