I had a vivid dream once that really shook me up. In it I saw a Pastor friend of mine called ‘Judah’ in a wheel chair. I had the impression that he had been in a car wreck. Not only was he paralysed but something was wrong with his eyes. When I awoke I wondered if I should warn him of some impending danger, but had a check in my spirit that it didn’t mean what I thought. The Lord reminded me that ‘Judah” in Hebrew means ‘Praise,’ and that it was a message for me.
Where are the Nine?
One thing that I have learnt in my walk with the Lord, is that God loves a thankful person. Not only is it pleasing to Him but it also releases the power of God into our lives. Have you ever given something to a child and they don’t say thanks? It’s annoying and demands a rebuke. Unfortunately this generation has become so entitled and feels its their God given right to have all the blessings without being thankful.
Did you know that being thankful brings us into the power of God. Look at this verse written by King David.
Honey from the Rock
“He made him ride on the heights of the land and fed him with the fruit of the fields. He nourished him with honey from the rock, and with oil from the flinty crag.” Deut 32:13
God wants us to ride on the high places in life, having a constant flow of honey. We may be ‘between a rock and a hard place’ but no matter how hard a situation we find ourselves in there is honey and oil to be found. We need to call forth His Honey as Moses called forth the water out of the rock in the wilderness.
Redeem the Time
I always find it amazing how God gives me creative ideas when I fast and ways to make my life better.
The biggest change for me has been in the whole area of “Redeeming the Time for the days are evil.” The New Living Bible says.
“Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” Ephesians 5:16
We are living in evil times and need to make every opportunity to feed ourselves the good stuff otherwise we will drown in a tsunami of unbelief. Fasting makes us more aware of God’s Voice and what He is trying to tell us.
A Solid Foundation
Once when I was having a pity party after another disappointment, God gave me a vision of a high rise building being constructed. He showed me the long laborious job that was necessary for the foundations to be prepared. Instead of going up, the work first went down and it was for a long period. The bigger the building the bigger the foundations. When I returned to Mutare in Zimbabwe where I was then ministering at the time, work had just commenced on a similar high rise building to my vision and it still wasn’t finished by the time I left Mutare. I was reminded often while there that the way up is at first down. Many years later I did return to Mutare and saw the finished article.
