Living in the Land of Promise

Living in the Land of Promise

“By faith he sojourned (lived) in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:” Hebrews 11:9

It’s a wonderful thing to be living in the Land of Promise as the Patriarchs of old, and I don’t mean being far away in the land of Israel, but you can be there by faith metaphorically speaking when you believe. The bible says that, “blessed are those who haven’t seen and yet believe.” John 20:29

Enter into His Rest

Enter into His Rest

Paul reminds us that Christ has come to live in and through us as Christians. This really benefits us when we learn to tap into His life and let Him become our strength.

The trouble is we are trained from youth to believe that self-effort is the only answer, but it’s not God’s way. If self-effort was the key to a successful Christian walk, then we wouldn’t need the Lord anymore and His death on the cross would have been in vain.

Watch and Pray

Watch and Pray

"But be on your guard. Don't let the sharp edge of your expectation get dulled by parties and drinking and shopping. Otherwise, that Day is going to take you by complete surprise, spring on you suddenly like a trap, for it's going to come on everyone, everywhere, at once. So, whatever you do, don't go to sleep at the switch. Pray constantly that you will have the strength and wits to make it through everything that's coming and end up on your feet before the Son of Man." Luke 21:34-36 (MsgB)

The Art of Waiting: Part 2

The Art of Waiting: Part 2

In the previous message I shared about how God is a Master Trainer and really wants to teach us how to WAIT. When He has worked this into our lives, He will trust us with so much more. Just like a dog who has learnt to hear and obey the Master’s voice, he can then be taken to lots more places, walking in unison with the Master. Amos 3:3 says, ‘How can 2 walk together unless they agree.’
