There is a large rugby park near where I live and I walk around it often. Sometimes there are people training their dogs in the art of obedience. It seems that one of the big disciplines is training a dog to wait. The Master may throw something for the dog to fetch and wants the dog to wait and only fetch when they give the go ahead. Dogs love fetching sticks and balls, and if you had the time and patience, they would do it all day long. They have now invented a long scoop to pick up a returned ball and throw it without having to bend over each time and then project it effortlessly. Back in the day the owner would get a sore shoulder or back from constantly picking up and throwing the ball time and time again.

“He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Matthew 3:11.

I love what the word ‘baptise’ means in Greek. It says that you shall be baptised in the Holy Spirit. The word baptise is ‘baptiso’. This word means to be saturated. It’s like a fabric that is dyed in a colour. The dye infiltrates every fibre of the cloth and so are we when the Holy Spirit comes into our lives. We need to believe it, for how can two walk together unless they agree? Amos 3:3

In these days of great shaking, its important to know this power within and how to release it, for there is not a lot of encouragement coming from the world around us. We have the Kingdom of God within. I’m sure there are other ways to draw upon His power, but the bible says that Speaking in Tongues is one of the most effective ways to release this power from within.

Jesus only ministered for 3 and half years and then died. If that was all there was then the good that had been achieved in His ministry would have been lost. Praise God Jesus spoke of someone who would come and carry on the work He started and keep everything alive. He spoke of the coming Holy Spirit.

“I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." Luke 24:49

“You will call, and the Lord will answer… If you remove the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness."
