I believe a great deception has infiltrated the present day church and even the elect are being deceived. It has poisoned our thinking and gone far deeper than we realise. It can hinder our relationship with the Lord and fill our hearts with a fear for the future. It can effect our vision to, for many are believing for a falling away of the Church when the Lord wants us to pray for a worldwide revival. How can you have both? Many Christians live in the dread of receiving the ‘mark of the beast’ mentioned in revelation and so denying the Lord. The belief of a coming ‘one world’ government, also makes Christians say and do unwise things.

“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”Song of Songs 5:12

The other day I was reading the bible and every verse was alive to me. I could see clearly what it was saying in my mind’s eye. If it was speaking of a river, I could see that river as if I were watching TV. It left me feeling invigorated.

There is a place in God where you can ride the wave of the Spirit, very much like the art of surfing. There is nothing like being driven along by the power of God and not your own strength. This is why surfers love surfing; it’s the exhilaration of riding something bigger and more powerful than yourself.

I don’t think any of us was expecting the way things would pan out over the last couple of years. These are indeed perilous times, and for us Christians who study the scriptures, it is not unexpected. Its just happened a lot faster than we thought it would. These must be the days spoken of in the book of Revelation just before the end of the age.

“Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knows that he hath but a short time.” Revelation 12:12

During the week, I was making up some video verses from older scriptures that I had written down ages ago to meditate on.

One of those verses was Habakkuk 1:5

“Be utterly astounded, for I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you.”
